ADRA Sudan belongs to the worldwide ADRA network, comprised of more than 130 supporting and implementing country offices. ADRA focuses in the wellbeing of the people and work in five core sectors including Food Security; Health; Economic Growth; Education; and Emergency Management. ADRA Sudan has developed its expertise in these sectors and in various subsectors, specifically in Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Economic Development (including Literacy, Capacity Building and Income Generating Activities IGAs).
Jefferson Kern - Country Director
Started his service with ADRA as volunteer in Angola in 1994, returning in 2008 as
Regional Director in the Amazon, and later serving as Country Director in Rwanda from
2010 to 2014 and Brazil from 2015 to 2017. Holds a Master of Science in
Administration Degree with emphasis in International Development and Non-Profit
Organization Policies.
Kurt Schwandt - Finance Director
More than 27 years of experience in accounting, controllership and finance in international organizations of medium and large size in different sectors such as chemical,
energy, agribusiness and humanitarian aid,
occupying mid/top positions in Finance in cross-cultural teams in
different countries such as Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Pakistan, Kenya, Yemen, Iraq/Kurdistan and others.
Large experience in managing NGOs portfolios such as USAID (OFDA, FFP), DANIDA, JPF, EU, OCHA, UNHCR, CIDA, SIDA, GFO, AusAID and others.
